Reading: I have been slowly reading a Jodi Picoult novel called House Rules. It has been a fascinating read. The main character is a boy with Asperger’s and, although a heavy topic to cover, has been very interesting to see the world through Autistic eyes. Granted I don’t know first-hand how accurate she is, but I still find it very interesting. I have found some similarities between the way the main character thinks and the way my Miss O thinks. Not to the same extent, but still things to ponder.

Listening To: My running music. I am running three or four days a week and love blasting my music while I run. My playlist includes, but is not limited to Matchbox20, Pink, Maroon5 and, dare I admit it? Ke$sha. I know, I know. Great beat though. Maybe if I spell my name $tacey, I’ll make piles of money.

Thinking about: Starting school. My sweet Miss O who struggles with so much anxiety. My son who is being poured down rain upon at scout camp. What to blog about next week. How to organize my time better so I have more time to write.

Watching: Don’t judge me: Hell’s Kitchen, Master Chef and America’s Got Talent. Oh, and Friends before bed. Gotta have my fix.

Friends

Bummed out on: The beginning of a new school year…next Thursday. And football season is about to begin. Help!?!

Loving: My little man, when he’s not being cranky. He’s all squishy and cute.

Feeling Thankful: My amazing family and my super awesome husband.

Eating: Lately, my diet has consisted of junk food and more junk food and Pepsi. Oh sweet Pepsi. Thank heavens for all the running. I will go back to yummy avocado and ham wraps tomorrow.

Wondering: If it’s possible to convince the kids to let me sleep until 9a.m. tomorrow.

Working on: Patience. Always patience. You know when you are picking 100 Popsicle sticks out of the yard, cursing under your breath that you will never, ever buy Popsicles again? Or that moment when the baby happily takes off his own diaper only he’s poopy? Or that time, shortly after previously mentioned diaper removal that you shout that you should potty train the child knowing that it is a silly threat? Sweet Patience.
